Anker soundcore flare 2 vs motion plus2/17/2024 Especially if you want them for use outside. 1) Plug the USB charging cable into your computer. Step 2: Double-click the Anker icon on the desktop. 2) Download the firmware (such as souncore Flare) and save it to the desktop. Having had the Flare and the Motion+, I really think you are better off with 1 or even better, 2 Flare+ speakers. 1) Download the update tool from the souncore website, unzip it, then double-click setup.exe and follow the default installation instructions. I have nit heard the Flare+ but have seen many reviews comparing it and the Motion+. The Flare+ would be easier to transport whereas the Motion+ would scratch and potentially break more easily as well as not being waterproof. Speakers sound completely different outside and both of these are described as powerful outside. The Motion+ is still louder and has a little more bass but the Flare+ is waterproof and more robust than the Motion+ and the sound differences are much less obvious. Wait for a few seconds, and a tone will sound. Press the Part圜ast button, and you will see another steady white light. Press the Part圜ast button, and you will see a steady white light. TECHNOLOGY To enrich and intensify a song’s low frequencies, our proprietary BassUp technology adjusts and enhances the bass in real-time. Click the chat button in the bottom right corner of the page. The driver unit is the component that produces sound in the device. Bryan rust2/17/2024 Aside from Rust, Pittsburgh is also dealing with injuries to Rickard Rakell, Noel Acciari, Matt Nieto, Pierre-Olivier Joseph and Chad Ruhwedel. As the Penguins wait for his recovery, though, Sullivan highlighted that all they can do right now is focus on what they have and who's present. Hopes are high that Rust will be able to return sooner rather than later. Sure enough, as Mike Sullivan said, that's not something they will be able to easily replace. We utilize him in so many capacities, he's a hard guy to replace,” Sullivan shared.īryan Rust has tallied 10 goals and 20 points, along with 10 assists in 22 games for the Penguins this 2023-24 season. “We know how much he wants to be on the ice, how competitive he is, and he wants to play. Not to mention that Rust is a big part of their offense. Bryan Rust statistics are available during live games and. On the bright side, Rust hit the 20-goal mark for the fourth consecutive year. Bryan Peter Rust (born May 11, 1992) is an American professional ice hockey right winger for the Pittsburgh Penguins of the National Hockey League (NHL). Bryan Rust is 31 years old (May 11, 1992), 180 cm tall and plays for Pittsburgh Penguins. He tailed off a bit after the All-Star break with just 16 points in 32 contests. That comes out to 0.57 points per game, his lowest mark since the 2018-19 campaign. Penguins coach Mike Sullivan expressed his disappointment for Rust and the team over the painful news, emphasizing that he knows very well how much the 31-year-old winger wants to play. Rust played a career-high 81 games during the 2022-23 season but earned just 46 points. This means that Rust won't suit up in Pittsburgh's three games this week, with his availability for the next still to be determined. While the Penguins have not revealed the nature of his injury, the team listed him as week-to-week, per Josh Hoye of The Athletic. Crosby fed a perfect cross-ice pass to Guentzel, who redirected it past Copley to make it 3-2.Pittsburgh Penguins winger Bryan Rust is expected to be sidelined for some time after he sustained a concerning upper-body injury early this December. Crosby was near the blue line in the offensive zone when he saw Guentzel quickly skating in to his left. Kevin Fiala also scored and Pheonix Copley made 16 saves.Ĭrosby assisted on Guentzel's goal 37 seconds into the third period, which snapped the Kings' four-game winning streak. Adrian Kempe extended his points streak to eight games with a second-period goal and Anze Kopitar moved into second on the Kings' career points list with an assist on Carl Grundstrum's first-period score. Remember that wood is a natural material and can be delicate and photosensitive. Please avoid using detergents on wood and always dry it carefully after cleaning to prevent streaks or patches forming. If you are a particularly assiduous cleaner or you have difficulty removing a mark, you can use specialist stone cleaning products and, if to set your mind at rest you can periodically apply a new coat of sealant.įor cleaning stone, wood and metal, simply use a soft cloth with water or a neutral detergent. Please DO NOT use cleaners containing abrasive cleansers, ammonia, bleach, acid or even those “homemade remedies” made from lemon, vinegar and the like. The important thing is to act quickly before a substance is absorbed into the stone, as that is when it causes staining. The sealant acts as a temporary barrier that allows you to have a few hours between the moment a staining substance (for example, wine or coffee) comes into contact with the stone and the moment you wipe it off. That said, please bear in mind that there is no sealer on the market that can make natural stone 100% stain proof, especially if you leave the staining agent on it for a prolonged period. This helps to preserve the product without compromising the wonderful natural look and feel of the stone. Since we do not like to paint the surface of our lovely stones with transparent paints or resins, we apply three coats of the highest possible level of protective sealant. All our finished products leave our Tuscan premises pre-sealed.

Aero gigabyte 15 geekbench 42/17/2024 Our configuration of the Aero 15 uses a laptop version of the GeForce RTX 3070 with a TDP of 105 watts. Compared with other laptops that are equipped with the same CPU or with the Core i7-10875H, our review sample lags behind its rivals by a maximum of 7% in the Cinebench benchmarks depending on the case.īased on our Cinebench R15 test, performance is limited by approximately 30% on battery power. However, the benchmarks also suggest that AMD's Ryzen 5000 CPUs are currently ahead in terms of raw performance and especially in multi-thread scenarios. You don't have to worry about the processor's performance in either case, since it's at a very high level. Although little changes for end users (the performance differences are usually within 5-8%), the differences in the production of the processors are quite substantial. The reason for using the weaker CPU, which only loses 100 MHz of base clock speed, is the significantly better efficiency in production. If you look closely, you'll notice that the predecessor was actually equipped with the faster Core i7-10875H. If you need a laptop that can accurately represent colors and detailed images – and for gaming, you care more about visual vibrancy than high refresh-rates – then the Gigabyte Aero 15 OLED is a powerful and portable designer's tool that comes at a fair price. The processor used here is the Core i7-10870H, an octa-core CPU from Intel's Comet Lake generation. There aren't really any dedicated "design" laptops that are comparable to the Aero 15 OLED (although that's soon to change, thanks to new product lines like Acer's ConceptD), however you can get gaming laptops with similar specs for up to $400 (£400, AU$700) less – you’ll have to sacrifice a little on portability and battery life, or settle for an 8th generation CPU in the process, though. The Aero series is just 0.79in (2cm) thick and weighs just 4.4lbs (2kg), so it fits neatly within the ultra-portable creative workstation or gaming laptop category. The Aero 15 OLED has extensive connectivity options, including full-sized HDMI 2.0, three USB 3.1 Type-As, Thunderbolt 3 (Type-C), DisplayPort 1.4 (Type-C), Ethernet, UHS-II SD Card reader and a 3.5mm audio jack. In other words, there's enough here that you can moving between workstations and connect to external displays, peripherals and wired internet without needing a separate dock. (Image credit: Future) Features and verdict If you increase the resolution to 4K, you'll see these frame rates drop to a "just playable" 23fps and 33fps respectively, so while gaming at the screen's native resolution on new titles isn't out of the question, you will need to dial down the quality.įortunately, that OLED display still looks excellent at 1080p resolution, so Aero 15 OLED models with the GTX 1660Ti will still benefits from the panel's great colors – however if you're aiming for 4K gaming, you'll definitely want to opt for an RTX 2070 or RTX 2080 configuration. The Aero 15 OLED XA includes with an RTX 2070 GPU, and in games managed averages of 66fps in Total War: Warhammer 2 and 78fps in Middle Earth: Shadow of War, respectively, using 1080p at ultra quality settings. If the thermal management really is that much better, there should be a decent bump in the Core i9 CPU performance. We didn’t get a chance to test the 9th generation Core i9 model this time around, but Gigabyte has said that the cooling system has been re-engineered with new fans, heat pipes and vents that combine for 30% better cooling. Those last Aero 15 units we tested had some thermal issues on the highest specced models, which meant there wasn’t much of a performance bump between the Core i7 and Core i9 CPUs.

Russian linguist roman jakobson2/16/2024 The linguistics of the time was overwhelmingly neogrammarian and insisted that the only scientific study of language was to study the history and development of words across time (the diachronic approach, in Saussure's terms). As a student he was a leading figure of the Moscow Linguistic Circle and took part in Moscow's active world of avant-garde art and poetry. He studied at the Lazarev Institute of Oriental Languages and then at the Historical-Philological Faculty of Moscow University. Jakobson was born in Russia on 11 October 1896 to a well-to-do family of Jewish descent, the industrialist Osip Jakobson and chemist Anna Volpert Jakobson, and he developed a fascination with language at a very young age. Meanwhile, though the influence of structuralism declined during the 1970s, Jakobson's work has continued to receive attention in linguistic anthropology, especially through the ethnography of communication developed by Dell Hymes and the semiotics of culture developed by Jakobson's former student Michael Silverstein. Through his decisive influence on Claude Lévi-Strauss and Roland Barthes, among others, Jakobson became a pivotal figure in the adaptation of structural analysis to disciplines beyond linguistics, including philosophy, anthropology, and literary theory this generalization of Saussurean methods, known as " structuralism", became a major post-war intellectual movement in Europe and the United States. Drawing on insights from Charles Sanders Peirce's semiotics, as well as from communication theory and cybernetics, he proposed methods for the investigation of poetry, music, the visual arts, and cinema. He made numerous contributions to Slavic linguistics, most notably two studies of Russian case and an analysis of the categories of the Russian verb. He went on to apply the same techniques of analysis to syntax and morphology, and controversially proposed that they be extended to semantics (the study of meaning in language). Influenced by the work of Ferdinand de Saussure, Jakobson developed, with Nikolai Trubetzkoy, techniques for the analysis of sound systems in languages, inaugurating the discipline of phonology. As a pioneer of the structural analysis of language, which became the dominant trend in linguistics during the first half of the 20th century, Jakobson was among the most influential linguists of the century.

Beats hands2/16/2024 The best full house that is possible is A♡-A♢-A♣-K♠-K♡. For example, a full house 9♡-9♣-9♠-5♡-5♢ would be called "nines full of fives". Full houses are consider "_ full of _" where the first blank is the set of three and the second blank is the pair. Three cards of one value, and two cards of another value. For example, a Flush with a King as the highest value card would beat a Flush with a Queen as the highest value card. The value of the Flush is determined by the highest card in it. The suits do not match.įive cards of the same suite. Aces are high in Poker.įive cards in order, such as 6♠-7♡-8♢-9♠-10♣. For those after an affordable, Apple-centric neckband design, the Beats Flex offers just the thing. When you have no card combinations, the highest card value in your hand. That said, the Beats Flex easily betters much of what is currently on the market for iOS users at £50 ($50) – it's nicely featured for the money and competently made. If your budget can stretch northwards a little, Earfun’s true wireless option bypasses potential cable noise, sounds better for detail through the higher frequencies and lasts longer before needing a charge. The cymbal crashes, darting strings and woodwinds feel slightly recessed, but it’s a competent performance nevertheless. Our Halloween Tidal playlist continues to Danny Elfman’s orchestral original score, Tales From The Crypt, and the brass section comes through musically strong and full-bodied. It’s a small issue the Beats Flex offers a considered, smooth sound profile that’s preferable to one that is harsh or bright through the upper frequencies, but even at this affordable level it’s important to note. It’s just that synths, twigs crunching in the grass, spine-tingling keys and tinkling, distant laughter peals aren’t quite as impactful as they are through the Earfuns. We stream Charles Bernstein’s theme tune for the movie A Nightmare On Elm Street and find plenty of atmospheric tension through the mids and lows. It’s a shame, because while the Beats Flex in-ears still offer a foot-tapping sound and an agile, taut bassline, there’s an extra ounce rolling off through the top end. Instruments such as the pulsating electric guitar riffs come through a little weak, without the sparkling impact through the upper registers offered by our reference product at the price, the true wireless Earfun Air. As the song continues, we note limitations in the treble. Melissa Etheridge’s textured and emotive vocal in Come To My Window is central and detailed through the mid to low frequencies. We stream The Waterboys’ The Whole Of The Moon on Tidal, and the Beats Flexes offer a far more cohesive mix across the frequencies and a better sense of timing throughout. The Beats Flex headphones easily better Apple’s 2012 wired EarPods for sound – in direct comparison, the once-bundled EarPods sound overly bassy. There’s no noise-cancelling either, but with the correct seal you’ll still enjoy good levels of passive noise isolation. That means the Beats Flex won't support some iOS 14 features, including automatic switching to another device or hands-free Siri support. One thing to note here is that W1 chip is the same one found in the previous Beats X, not the more advanced H1 chip found in the second-generation AirPods, AirPods Pro, Powerbeats Pro, Beats Solo Pro and Powerbeats 4. Nevertheless, these are entry-level wireless buds and their main function must surely be an improved wire-free sound over the £19 ($19) EarPods. We’re testing with an older iPhone 8 running on the most recent iOS update and find the promised auto-pause functionality when the buds’ magnets click together a little hit and miss. Audio Sharing, which lets you connect two pairs of compatible AirPods and Beats to a single device, to simultaneously listen to the same content, is another bonus. So, while Android users get a basic Bluetooth experience, Apple's W1 chip here elevates things to the next level for iOS users. Android users have to pair either manually via Bluetooth or by downloading the Beats app for Android, which offers quick pairing access, firmware updates and battery level information. Turn the Beats Flex on and bring them close to your Apple device and you get quick pairing functionality, for example. The right control centre houses a power button that perfectly mirrors the placement and size of the USB-C port on the left-hand side of the controls, but it features a solo LED light to indicate power and battery life: this glows white for ‘on’, flashes white when pairing and blinks red when charging.Īs you might expect from an Apple product, using them with an iOS device has its perks. During calls, we find the built-in mic clear and call-handling a breeze.
